Why did my design move around on the mat?
On the mat, Design Space moves every layer to use material efficiently, unless you tell it which pieces belong together. Grouping doesn't do that; Attach does.
The fix
- 1Go back to the Canvas.
- 2Select the layers that must keep their position (Shift + click).
- 3Click Attach at the bottom of the Layers panel.
- 4Click Make It again. The layout now matches the Canvas.
